I feel like this is a stupid question, but I can’t manage to find the answer…
I’d like to “save thumbnail angle” for a static mesh, as in UDK. The Documentation page about Static Mesh editor says it’s in the Menu bar → Tool. But I don’t have a Tool option in my Menu bar, nor View…
Is there a place to select what to show there, or how to do it?
Sorry for the probably basic and stupid question… And thank you for the answer!
Hello René,
You wish to change the thumbnail view that is seen in the Content Browser, is that correct?
To do this, in the bottom-right corner of the Content Browser click on View Options and then enable Thumbnail Edit Mode. While this mode is enabled, you can click and drag directly in the thumbnail to change the camera position and angle. Once you are satisfied, click the Done Editing button to save this view.
Cheers
I discovered that function by miself the day after I posted my answer here, but forgot to explain it here. But thank you anyway, I hope it’ll help other people.
And it’s a surprising but really nice improvement from the UDK’s way to do it, really a cool surprise for me!
