How did you address the static IP requirement to get on their platform?
Many VPN providers offer static IP, is it suitable? Or should I be getting one from my ISP?
Who is you?
In the US you have to request it from your ISP.
I hope they don’t go as far as checking the name - which the isp should never make public domain anyway.
Also, it’s really only required to get the downloads.
Or I should say, it was.
The program was closed for like a year to everyone…
so, You just need the Ip for downloading the SDK? So one could use a public IP address and just don’t renew it until the download is finished? after this, sony won’t check the IP anymore?
Not sure of the current state.
Used to be the IP was used for publishing and signing code.
Now a days, I would hope they just adhered to proper code signing techniques that do not require such BS as a static IP… in practice though, its sony. They do whatever they want…
And eventually get hacked via hardware by those they chose to cut out…
I don’t know either, i don’t want to go through the trouble of setting it up just to realize I don’t even need it lol
