Static/Dynamic Light?

Hi there!

So I am wondering if its possible to have a light that casts dynamic shadows on objects that have dynamic shadows turned on and static shows for object that don’t. I know that this works for Stationary lights when the Dynamic shadow-casting Objects are set to dynamic but that feels a bit inefficient performance-wise.



I think this is also the case for static lights. Dynamic objects always get a dynamic shadow.

Sorry, that’s not really what I mean I think. So here is my setup:

As you can see, my static mesh doesn’t cast a dynamic shadow despite having it turned on.

Which engine?

Its UE4
