"Stat FPS" command isn't displaying correct FPS

Anyone else having issues with “Stat FPS” command only showing half the framerate? MSI Afterburner is my go-to for monitoring hardware performance… If I have Afterburner and stat fps showing at the same time, Afterburner shows 200 fps and “stat fps” only shows 100 fps.

I’m running an Nvidia card with G-sync, monitor is 144hz. Drivers up to date, UE 5.3.2… Here’s some things I’ve tried:

  • no vertical sync (r.vsync 0)
  • played in current viewport and PIE, no difference
  • full screen, no difference
  • “t.maxfps = 999” and different caps, no difference

Any ideas?

To my knowledge, FPS stats are clamped in the editor. Have you tried to see your FPS within a packaged build? Also, did you try to go Project Settings > Engine > General Settings > Framerate options? You can tweak Framerate settings there, try to enable “Use Fixed Frame Rate” and set something like 200. See if rates are matching with Afterburner.
