Trying to show a stat for everyone to see in game “Times completed”. I have a mutator zone at the end. When a player enters, stat counter increases by 1.
During testing and in game it works until the “Celebration Button” is hit at the end. Or if I leave the lobby and return. The stats keep resetting to 0.
That device doesn’t work for jip its always been bugged and will never be fixed i dnt think

Yea it was released broken and has never been fixed. I tried it when it came out and due to the jip issue never used it again ![]()
Billboards have the same problem but they are more hit/miss and you need these for showing player names currently ![]()
Trackers are also on the list they don’t work for jip so i stopped using them too
Coincidently Epic don’t have a jip mode or all these would be fixed
If your on uefn use verse and a material that allows setting value this always works ![]()
Are there any other devices I can add that will allow me to show how many times players have reached the end?
I want to eventually dive into UEFN and Verse. Just a little nervous about taking the leap. Not sure if I can edit existing maps in UEFN.
You can convert 1.0 to 2.0 (UEFN) but you should just start fresh tbh.
There was a counter device in the past idk if that’s still a thing in 1.0 it just counted up every time it was triggered.
You could also use the Score Device and increase the activation score iirc its +1 per time shows as a blue number in game might work for what you need
Just check yt tuts on the score manager device you can set it so it doesn’t show the + and its just a number ect

Oh good idea about the score device. I have been using it for other things but usually have it hidden. I could show the number and have a sign above it “Times Completed”. Ill try that next time and see how it goes. Even if I hide it at first or set it outside the room and keep an eye on it. If it works, add it into the room for everyone to see.

Tried the Score Device per your At AshTag suggestion. Tried this on my “Christmas Only up EASY checkpoints”.
Good news. It counts up properly even if I reset to beginning. This worked better than the “Stat Counter”.
Bad news. When I leave and return, resets back to 1.
Yea this doesnt have persistence you could use the tracker to keep score and set the score manager to that value the tracker will be ok if you dont use the ui
Im making progress. The Scoreboard “Collected Items” and “Objectives” seems to be saving.
Ive bene experimenting this week with Trackers, Score Manager, Mutator zone, Player reference set to Capture Area, and Save point.
Setting the “Capture Area” with Player Reference is mostly working. Now pops up on the Objectives Scoreboard. Thats at least some good news. It also seems to save when I leave and return. Right now it only works 1 time per game. So even if you travel to the beginning, run the map, only registers 1 time. I probably just need to have it reset when player leaves Capture area.
Still cant get this info to update properly to the Score Manager for players to see in real time. It works while you are in the game. Once you leave. It resets to 1 no matter what I try. I have the Score managers visible and tucked away under this tree. As you can see. Still 1 after I leave.
Any other advice would be appreciated.
