stasis.hair - Realistic Hair - Textured Pixie - SS25

Release 4 from our SS25 Collection - the Textured Pixie

A short and clean, textured pixie cut, retaining elegance with playful choppy details. An asymmetrical lifted forward fringe is the centrepiece with gentle tapered sides and back.

Compatible with Unreal Engine 5.6, requires 'MetaHuman Creator' plugin to use the mhpkg file.

Support in prior versions is via the supplied alembic .abc file. Import with a YAW rotation of 180.0, and a Scale of -1.0, 1.0, 1.0.

Included:

  • `mhpkg` file for Unreal 5.6 with Metahuman Creator, containing the Groom, default materials from Epic, and the source Skeletal Mesh for creating new bindings.

  • `.abc` alembic groom export for earlier versions of Unreal Engine and non-Unreal software.

To use this Groom in Unreal Engine, simply drag the `mhpkg` file into Unreal Engine 5.6 or later, and select the groom from the Metahuman Creator assets library. You may need to drag the Groom Binding into the Metahuman Creator interface before it becomes available for selection.

Alternatively, to manually create a binding for your MetaHuman character without using the Metahuman Creator:

  1. Right click the Groom -> `Create Binding`

  2. In `Source Skeletal Mesh`, select the `SKM_MH_Groom_Head` that came with the mhpkg.

  3. in `Target Skeletal Mesh`, select your Metahuman's `_FaceMesh` Skeletal Mesh

  4. Create the Binding

This should allow you to swap out the groom to any MetaHuman character from your project, without requiring use of the Metahuman Creator.
