Thanks for the report. Is this crash occurring when you start the Launcher or when you open the editor from the Lanucher? If you could also supply your log files and DXDIAG it would help us determine how best to investigate this issue. and i have an error out of memory:
i don’t understand i have some project with this system
maybe is Nvidia driver error?
thx so much
(when i try to upload log i have “no such upload”…
I would guess the crash has to do with low memory AND/OR low vMemory.
GT540M is not really a suitable graphicscard (or chip) to run UE4. IIRC, minimum recommended setup for graphics is GTX480, cannot compare it to 540M performance-wise. I’m not sure if it’s even supposed to run with 540M.
And depending on your windows installation, that 8gb of memory is also critically low. Be sure to check out that your windows doesn’t eat the best part of your ram up when starting up. I have 16GB, insufficient, lots of crashes etc. Crashes stopped when i extended some 20gb for virtual memory.
I don’t know it it could help, but you could try to make some virtual memory out of your HDD space?
The recent update may have included something that is not compatible with the engine. Are you able to revert to a previous driver and try launching the editor again? Also, with a video memory error it may be that there is too much trying to render to the screen at once. Try closing as many other processes as possible before running the editor.
i using 4.4.3 now on notebook.
i think (and hope) is a problem like “0xc0000005” problem with autodesk. caused to 3rd part dangerous application (like virus and spywhere) that i had too and now i have fix. for any other future problem i’ll back here :D. thx sooo much for the moment. have a nice day
