Starting and stopping a 2d sound?

I am trying to make a reload sound play when reloading and stop once completed or the reload is canceled. I have used the “Create sound 2D” method on begin play and store it in a variable and the “Play” and “Stop” methods that take the reference as a parameter to start and stop the sounds. The sound is shorter than the reload time, so I made it looping in the asset’s options menu. It works fine and loops until stopped at the end of the reload on the first reload, but does not play on subsequent reloads. What is the problem and how do I fix it? Is stop the wrong method for me to use or something?

Never mind everyone, I figured it out. I used an audio component that i activated and deactivated and got the effect I was looking for.
