Started my third game project.

I’m deliberately not giving the project a name yet and using a lot of free assets, as this is more of a prototype created to define the atmosphere and gameplay. I had to spend time drawing the user interface and making VFX*s though, as I couldn’t find anything suitable among the available free assets. Prototyping with just blockouts in this case is a bad idea, as the atmosphere also needs to be prototyped.

First, a short video, then an explanation:

The idea is to combine WoW, Diablo, and ArkRaiders into a dark fantasy game with relatively short single-player and multiplayer sessions. Let’s say it’s not a direct copy of these games’ features, but a blend of them - players will find these games’ vibes in this project.

I plan to develop the project alone, like my previous projects. I will publish my progress here. I don’t want to show it to the general public yet, only to potential investors and publishers, and, of course, other developers :slight_smile:

This is absolutely fascinating to see! I’ve always wanted a medieval / fantasy style extraction games as I find we’re really lacking. The only one that even comes to mind is Vermintide 2, I think. So far, I think you’re doing an amazing job and can’t wait to see further development!

Implemented targeting system that works together with the non-target system. One of the skills is now homing to a selected target as it was intended by design. Also added custom cursor and placeholder for the character info UI.
