Hi there,
I’m new here and I wanna know if some poeple could help me to start, I mean, give me a goal, a way.
My project is : recreate an existing game with unreal engine, the problem is I need to learn blueprint (wanna make a project 100% blueprint) and I don’t know where to start.
To learn blueprint it isn’t easy because we are not a lot of french to use this engine, learn with our mother tongue is easier and funnier.
Features of the game :
- Multiplayer
- FPS, TPS view
- Zombies
- Basic survival system (inventory, backpack, trade, craft, …)
(A game like DayZ/H1Z1/ShatteredSkied/WarZ/…)
Frage
Oh, man… How’s Google Translate these days?
Honestly don’t have much to recommend that would be in French. If I were you I would get all of the example projects I could find and break them down. Go through every piece. Create your own project and try to mirror everything they’ve done. Breaking them down will help you understand how things are working.

I didn’t use translator to write this message -_-
Apologies. That’s not what I meant. I wondered how well it worked when trying to covert tutorials you’ve found online.
Unfortunately there aren’t many tutorials done in french, but since the blueprint system is so visual if you follow tutorials exactly as they do it in the video (and using google translate to figure out words you don’t know) you’ll be able to see how things work and develop a good idea of exactly what everything means as you go. It’ll definitely take a long time though. I’m a native english speaker and after watching hours of tutorials I still only know how to do about 1% or less of what’s possible in Unreal Engine. I’d recommend following along with the tutorial series Unreal posted on their youtube channel to get started - lots of great information there.
