Start in UDK, which one?

Hello,

i have the intention to start learning myself UE. Therefore i am eager to get my hands onto a good documentation in form of a book.
Now that UE4 is out i am bit confused if i should purchase a UDK book about UE3 or not. Are UE3 and UE4 that different or could i use that what i would learn from UDK UE3 books
for developing in UE4?
Are there already good books about UE4 that i could buy?

I wouldn’t even bother with UE3 anymore, especially since you are just starting to learn.

You would be much better off just diving straight into UE4. There are plenty of learning resources available for free already.

thanks, i am watching. if anyone has some other good recommendations about documentation feel free to tell me.
Need to have a physical representation of content. Internet feels so volatile when learning.

kein Problem mit englisch aber wäre ein bisschen angenehmer…

Ne leider nicht, nur auf Englisch, Koreanisch, Japanisch und Chinesisch :slight_smile:
