STAR WARS™ Tools Now Live for Fortnite Developers

For the first time ever, Fortnite developers can create STAR WARS™-inspired islands in UEFN and Creative using curated assets and tools from our largest IP toolset to date. It includes all-new STAR WARS templates, tools, and gameplay features, along with characters, locations, vehicles, and weapons from past Fortnite Battle Royale Seasons.

On May 1, you’ll be able to publish STAR WARS islands through the Creator Portal and a new STAR WARS Game Collection page will launch in Discover. STAR WARS islands will be eligible for additional Discover placement, including Epic’s Picks, so don’t forget to submit them!

Now that is Epic!

Thanks to all the people that made this possible :folded_hands:

The brand rules are coming off as ambiguous to me in a few regards:

  1. There are many assets being sold on Fab that are of a generic sci fi style that would fit alongside the Star Wars assets. Can they be used in a Star Wars island provided you have the rights to use them via the Fab licenses? Does it matter whether those assets are just supplementing the existing assets or whether or not they are the majority so the world looks like a new but unspecific sci fi location?
  2. For a Star Wars island that builds off of the Star Wars narrative template, can a character ever mention a location, character, or event that isn’t directly provided? Like could a Clone Trooper (which is provided) mention a general “cloning facility” or specifically “Kamino”? Could a Clone Trooper say that they fight “droids” which aren’t provided?
  3. Narratively could you make up a fake event in which the clones (provided) fought the rebels (provided) on Hoth (provided).

Is there an alternative place I should be asking these questions?
