I built a stair case in UE, but in the middle of each mesh of my stairs the character has peak height before going back to normal. I am fairly new to unreal engine and I might just have a stupid setting on but has anyone run into something like this?
Something done in the development of stairs pretty commonly by quite a lot of dev’s is using a ramp instead of the stairs collision to create the illusion that your walking up the stairs but in a more smooth manner. This works generally if your not looking to step up the stairs in a scene (Like recording cinema) in which you would want the character to step up on the individual steps themselves. Create the invisible texture within unreal, and then make the ramp that goes up the stairs and blend it in the stairs.
