A peaceful, Ghibli-esqe train ride through the cherry blossoms, running in Unreal Engine 5.2. Lumen for global illumination and reflections; nanite for the meshes. Also trying out the new procedural tools in 5.2!
Thank you, @LTowers95, for sharing your lovely “Cherry Blossom Train Ride” with us in the forums! You never disappoint with your brilliant creations, and your mastery of the Unreal Engine is always reaching new heights! I imagine this creation took quite some time, as from seeing the comments on your ever-growing Youtube channel (CONGRATS! ), you created several procedural volumes for the background environment and then the train carriage as a blueprint actor.
@Zezkaii Thank you so much! And yeah - it was a little bit more involved, but the PCG systems in 5.2 were a real force-multiplier with workflows like this!
As usual, the pleasure is all mine! Also, I’m glad to hear the PCG in 5.2 helped to streamline the development process for you! You definitely took advantage of this technique and generated something unique.
Thank you again for sharing your incredible work with us, and I’m always looking forward to your next creation!
@Zezkaii Cheers!
Hey there @LTowers95 !
The animation is s o beautiful and smooth. I absolutely adore the different times of day as well. It reminds me of certain character select screens in games where you can cycle through the characters sitting in the seats or standing in various positions. I can agree with @Zezkaii in that I’m clad the PCG in 5.2 was able to make the content a little easier even by the slightest amount. It’s always handy to have tools like that!
Altogether I think this is a job well done and I’m thrilled to see more of your work after this! I will certainly be following your Youtube for further support as well!
@The_M0ss_Man Thank you!
