Spring arm camera lag not working in packaged game

Pretty much that. It works ok in the PIE editor, but doesn’t in the packaged version of the game.

Acts like a stick, I’ve confirmed that the camera lag effect is on in the packaged version.

Any ideas?


Thank you for reporting this issue. I have went through the spring arm camera component and have not noticed an issue with it. I tested this on the Third Person test template. Please review the following documentation as it may help you correct any mistakes in the set up of the spring arm on your project.

Issue tested on 4.12.5 and 4.13.0 Preview 3.

I’m having the same issue, it works in PIE but it doesn’t work when launching the game outside the editor or standalone.
Did you manage it to work?

I’m having the same issue. I’m running the basic flying template with lag enabled on the spring arm. It shows up fine when running in the editor (aside from some jittering), but not when I run the game standalone.

I’m currently using version 4.14.3.

  • Could you run a test in 4.15 Preview 2?
  • Do you have ‘Enable Camera Lag’ turned on?
  • Could you show me your complete set up of the spring arm component?
