I’ve seen this topic come up quite a few times and it usually devolves into a bunch of people saying ‘why bother’ rather than answering the actual question.
While we acknowledge that a determined person could eventually break into the game files regardless of what we do, we still have reasons for needing to encrypt the pak file beyond the point that just running unrealpak will get it open.
At a basic level we simply want to take an encryption key, split it into two, do a couple calculations on the values and then paste them back together and be used as the key.
Are there any resources on this? any explanations or guides? Most of what we’ve found has been discussions like this where it’s either never answered, or only vague concepts are brought up, and that’s it.
