Split and Trim Animation in Sequencer not working as expected.

I am applying a custom MoCap animation to a Metahuman in 5.0.3. It works perfectly. Except…

… when I slice the animation clip in sequencer (using cntrl / ) I would expect to have two clips, one which ends at the slice point, and one which begins at the splice point. But for some reason the second clip starts at the first frame of the animation.

…and when I try to trim off the beginning of the animation it seems to slide the animation along, underneath the play-head, slipping the sync, instead of just getting rid of the first few seconds of animation.

Interestingly this doesn’t happen when I trim off the end of the clip.

Please can someone help, before I loose my marbles!

Split works fine for me, but trimming the head no longer works now in 5.6. I trim the anim sequence in point but it is, as you say, sliding the whole animation as well, as if I am moving it. Trimming Right or on the end does not have this behavior, it works as expected. Never ran into this before. Any fixes? making it extremely challenging to animate.

Edit: I seem to have found the bug, I had added a play rate curve to the animation sequencer layer. Even though I hadn’t edited and it was still at the default play rate of ‘1’ it would still bug out and slid my anim when trimming. Once I deleted the play rate curve, it trimmed as expected.
