That would be good! I was trying to think of a way to paint on a Supermask through using a low poly object model of the landscape in mesh paint mode. Then edit in photoshop with a mask. Not working out though because I think object / meshes currently only paint at the vertex level inside the editor and not at the pixel level like in Photoshop etc…I’m not sure why the models wouldn’t be able to paint at a pixel level?? Have to look into it…
The landscape splines conform to the landscape. I just exported and it is clearly visible in Photoshop for creating a texture mask…good enough for now…
The reason it doesn’t work, the brush is too small for large areas and a duplicate mesh obj would have to be used.
//////////////Proposal for an update to be able to paint supermasks directly in the editor for fine landscape details. Textures would update automatically by the painted RGBB supermask!!////////// Repost a new thread if there isn’t one…
Thank you for your question. What Rama said is correct, splines are currently limited to being used with landscape. There are plans to expand spline functions into other parts of the editor, but it may take some time.
