Spline mesch component collision mesh not deforming

I know this question has been asked before, but non of the solutions seem to apply for me here.
I’m trying to make a race game inside a tunnel generated in real time with a spline mesh. I need the walls of the tunnel to have collision enabled, but the collision meshes do not deform with the spline mesh making it impossible to navigate the tight spaces inside the tunnel.

I could use complex collision as simple but loading new parts of the tunnel at runtime with complex collision create a noticeable lag.

Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong here?
