powarmor.com = pneumatic body armor… for a shoulder joint its 2 steel rings. one ring has 18 hoses. the other side has 18 piston shafts and heads made of hose that would expand a bit to form a seal/wiper/lock/open between one side of the outer hose and the other. putting more pressure on a side of the hoses would make them push or pull causing the rings to form a bend…On a shoulder joint 6 inch outside diameter, 1” thick using 1000 psi air (overkill)(7 x 1000 psi pull 7 x 1000 psi push (4 are locked)) =aprox 7,000 (or14,000 for hard exo)… so far i have attached a static piece to my skeleton it works fine for the piston section but the hose section should bend, so i could make 10 or so joints with different bend states, set spin relative to bone and turn the visibility on or off … would be close enough for casual gameplay… but i want to draw spline curves with blueprints… it needs to follow one ring and bend to the piston head then go straight (or 2 splines one gets longer while the other gets shorter) each hose/slider needs to stay the same length while sliding dovetailed to the next one. the texture/camo/led needs to slide too. i would also like to get volume and pressure on either side of each piston head… ya not asking for much lol… thanks, enjoy and feel free (apache) to use my idea in your game
