Spline Cameras / Camera Tracking

Hey everyone
I’ve posted in Facebook groups and in the UE4 answer forums with no luck at all hence why I’m now here.
I am trying to recreate a camera system which is similar to Metal Gear Solid 2. What I mean is I already have a camera which is stationary and tracks player movement but I am not trying to create a camera which moves either forward - back, left - right, up - down following the player. So if a player moves left to right along a corridor, the camera moves left to right following the player and obviously if the player stops or start moving so does the camera. I don’t want a cinematic camera. This has to be an in game camera which I can switch from 1 camera to another (already know how to do this bit). I just need it to follow the player and move in the same axis direction the player is moving. There is a video below showing what I mean with the cameras. This is what I am trying to replicate and I’m having no luck at all. There are no videos showing how to do this, barely any notes on cameras with using splines or anything like that. Can someone for the love of god help me please. I’ve been trying to work this out for 3 days now.
