Some art design suggestions, there’s a bit too much visual noise, and not enough visual seperation between gameplay areas and eye candy. The hex mesh balls are are particularly distracting, but if you made the sky match their color more, I think you could get away with it (either darken the sky or lighten the material. Also I feel like the platform floors could be a bit more solid and stand out, especially if there’s going to be lazers on them and people need to time jumps at the edges.
Thanks for message. Yeah, I think you are right. There were a lot of different noise on the background and it was annoying.
Now I changed color scheme and contrast. Also, I slowed down two spheres on the background. I think now it looks much better.
I’m still thinking about UI and don’t know how to do right. Maybe just follow advice - “UI in a similar style to that [E] to Go Down text, with the arrows. Have the meters follow you in the background of the level.” or something like that?
Following this one on Twitter, I really like the visuals! Have to agree though that there’s still a bit too much going on, though it’s a bit better now after your update.
Oh, and what happened to your other game with the flying sphere or something?
