Description: Recently I was testing move.ai for performance capture. Ended up with a ton of raw MoCap data. Decided to utilize the data for this challenge. So, I retargeted the MoCap-rig to a UE Mannequin, built a custom GPU Niagara particle system, set up some lights and cameras and put it all together. Tried my best to make it as cinematic as possible. Normally I’d have gone for 24fps but the movements of the dancer are just too fast. So I went with 30fps. Everything was built and arranged inside Unreal Engine - even the Post Processing effects, like Color Grading, Grain and Lens Emulation.
Hope you’re well and having a great week so far!
What an elegant and beautiful dance. The particles that move around the character add such a spectacular feeling of magic. However, it’s the almost lavalike appearance that elevated this scene the most for me. It makes every dance move appear even more fluid. Incredibly breathtaking!
Thanks for sharing and good luck in the challenge!
I am very impressed by the video. I would not have thought that something like this is possible with the UE!
The movements look extremely impressive and the use of particle effects is fascinating and unusual. The seamless transitions between the individual shots as well as the skillfully chosen camera angles are a testament to the artist’s expertise and attention to detail.
Overall, a beautiful piece of work!
On different levels amazing work, especially if put into the context from the idea, the way and its difficulties to improvising great outcomes, congratulations on another beautifully documented step on your path to creating, AB! <3
The work is actually the reason why I registered on this site, and definitely one more reason to finally start exploring the whole UE universe, thanks for the inspiration!
