Specs for new notebook to run UE5

Hello.

I will be buying a new notebook soon and it will mainly be used for 3D rendering and development for architectural applications and also working on Unreal Engine 5.

I am heavily confused between buying a workstation notebook or a gaming notebook. I understand the way to go is to get a notebook with a solid CPU/GPU balance.

Usually a high-end gaming notebook having an i9 12th gen with 16GB RTX3080Ti should be the choice considering the competitive price. However I am also considering workstation notebooks with Xeon E or Xeon W CPUs along with Quadro GPUs such as A4000 or RTX5000 max-Q which in theory should offer better rendering time and efficiency.

Would you please advise me as to what should be my best option to get considering the requirements on UE5?

Thanks a lot!

Basically the answer is: Don’t develop on a laptop, unless you want to buy a new one every 18 months
