specifying where a new component must be placed in the tree of an actor blueprint

hi

is there a better way to add a new component to an actor blueprint, like adding a scene component. seemingly there is no way to guide where the new component is added among the existing components and sometimes it is really placed in an awkward location that makes it difficult to restructure the component tree, especially when you want to introduce a new parent component

thanks

Oops @barbrian0723 I replied to your wrong topic

it is a pity because sometimes i work with blueprints with a number of generated components

and the new component is dumped where ever

so it can be tricky to get it to the root

maybe this can be considered as an improvement

If you click a component before adding, it will attached as a child of that component.

We’re talking about adding like this?

yes. try adding a scene component just under the default scene
because that is what i do and it is how it then fails and add the scene component where ever
and my component list is almost as long as yours so it becomes difficult to then go and dig it out

Ah, then it just goes in the list with the other components. You have no control over that…
