About Albert Reed:
Albert Reed co-founded Boston-based Demiurge Studios, which he led as CEO for nearly 15 years. He helped grow Demiurge into a 100-person studio, overseeing the team’s contributions to major franchises including Mass Effect, Borderlands, and Gears of War, while also launching several original titles.
The studio was acquired by SEGA in 2015, after Albert and the Demiurge team grew Marvel Puzzle Quest — one of the first US-developed free-to-play mobile games — to over $100 million in revenue.
Albert has served in advisory roles with several game companies, including Otherside Entertainment and Wizards of the Coast. Always a fierce advocate for his development team’s time while at Demiurge, he now hopes to help existing game studios operate more efficiently as CEO of Universal Foundry.
Come ready with questions or just listen in — it’s going to be packed with real-world insights from someone who’s been in the trenches and knows what it takes to make a studio thrive.
