Spawning a physics object above a landscape with a -Z location destroys object upon spawn

Repro: Create a landscape and have it located somewhere within negative Z. 0,0,-200 for example.

Create an actor that has a static mesh component with simulate physics enabled.

Spawning that actor in game (close to but above the landscape) at something like 0,0,-190 will destroy the actor.

Spawning higher seems to work ok.

Hi Opamp77,

If you look in your World Settings panel, what is your kill Z set to? Is the landscape above or below your kill Z?
