Spawn viewport same place you were before simulating?

Hello there!

Might be a super simple question, but for someone relatively new to Unreal Engine, I am at a complete loss. And neither Google, ChatGPT or searching the community for an answer helped me, unfortunately.

So when navigating the viewport I always find a solid angle and location, then spent time on details, and in the end I want to run the game to check everything looks right.

I hit play, the game starts from the Default Player Start (or camera location depending on my setting, of course) and I run around cheerfully to check everything.

Then, when I die or press Esc, the viewport does not return to the view I had before playing the game. It stays/starts the same place I just died or exited.

Is there any way to change this, so the viewport returns to where I was before playing?

Thanks a bunch for any help!

Best regards
Christian

Hey @Nordsagn

Well, I don’t know if you can return to the POV automatically, but you can use bookmarks:

Bookmarks

Provides the ability to set camera locations and rotations as bookmarks, and provides access to jump to existing bookmarks. To create a bookmark, press Ctrl + any of the numbers 1-0 along the top of your keyboard. To recall a bookmark, simply press the number you chose for that bookmark.
