What is the current size of 5.1 on disk when downloaded (GitHub) and built (win64).
Is there something that can be deleted safely after the build is complete (to free space) ? Like setup or something.
Can blueprints from 5.0.3(launcher version) (actors, materials, etc…) be safely migrated to source built project (like a third person template from source) ?
Thanks.
Also, will visual studio integration tool(from marketplace) detect new source build in order to install the plugin ?
I’m looking at 165GB for the Oculus 5.0 UE Branch. (5.1 should be similar)
Not that I’m aware of.
The important thing here is that assets are forward compatible. So 5.0.3 assets could be opened in an equivalent or later version of 5.x
Not sure about visual studio integration tool, but I do see custom engine versions when using the version selector tool.
Mechanical disks are ok to use, but will be the bottle neck in compile time. It took me 24hrs to compile that Oculus branch on my hard-drive (intel i7-8th gen, 16GB RAM)
