Has anyone seen builds on Windows 10 perform better than the ones distributed by Epic through the launcher. I built 4.7.6 from source and I’m seeing this. I’m running an MSI Apache pro laptop with the latest core i7 cpu, an nvidia gtx 960m and 12 gigs of ram, no ssd.
4.7.6 distributed through the launcher crashes when I try to load a community distributed project.
I don’t want to test the latest branch because I want to keep the folder clean for an the project I’m working on. I don’t mind building from source each time a version is released but it makes it difficult when collaborating with people on lower end machines. Also how does one target lower end platforms with the engine while avoiding the “Works on my machine” problem.
