To give some context, I have an enemy that will scream at me when it spots me, and after screaming it will chase me. When it chases me, heavy fast footsteps play. Both sounds are in their own separate Sound Cues.
The issue that I’m currently facing is both the scream sound and the footsteps sound seem to be having occlusion issues when I am looking at the enemy. For some reason, both sounds are muffled when there shouldn’t be any occlusion on them because I’m looking directly at the enemy. Even when getting screamed at by the enemy when I’m looking right at its face, the sound is still quite muffled. What’s even stranger is when I look away and run away from the enemy when being chased, the footsteps actually sound correct, even when occlusion is applied when I run around a wall.
Below are my settings for the sounds:
Footsteps Sound Cue
Scream Sound Cue
I’ve looked around and seen that it could also potentially be how collisions and physics are handled on my enemy, so I’ll also provide that down below here as well:
Enemy Capsule Component
Enemy Mesh
Any help is appreciated as I would like to get this issue solved ASAP!
