"Sorry, we couldn't find that page." error when entering the FAB page

Summary

Every time I enter the fab market I get that error, it appeared about 3 days ago and it still has no solution. I have read some other posts with the same error but without solutions.

hi @JJuanjo23 , sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues. If you try to open fab.com (without /es-es) in the url in incognito mode - would that open for you? If yes, the issue is most likely with your language settings, try to change them to English either on Fab or in your browser and see if that help. I do not understand this answer, I can’t even enter FAB to change any langauge settings?
I tried to change the language settings on on unreal account but it did not work.

Trying some workarounds, I found that the issue is caused when the language on the website is set to Spanish (not sure if other are the same). Clearing all cache and setting the language to English before login in solved the login issues for me.

Solved it, AND THIS IS A BUG and oversight on FAB

and the staff was kind of right but was missing a step.

How it happen and how to replicate:

  • This all happened caused we accidentally set the language to ‘Espanol Spain’ (for me I accidentally pressed that as the cart button too close to the language button and when you hover over the language button it will auto expand all the language for me moving my mouse back and forth I must have accidentally clicked on it)
  • Or you’re a Spanish user and chose ‘Espanol Spain’ when you should have chose ‘Espanol LA’

Why the bug happen, FAB major oversight:

  • This because they didn’t make a page for ‘Espanol Spain’ (es-es) and only for ‘Espanol LA’ and their server remembers your selection and keep sending you to the dead end page.
  • But feel bad for normal users on blackfriday as if they didn’t know about this then their account is forever locked out of FAB effectively forever.

Solution:

  • You have to enter https://www.fab.com/es-mx/, this will open fab and set the langauge to 'Espanol LA ’ which they did made a page for, and then you can go top right and to the globe symbol and change langauge to english, and solve everything.
