Some humble Verse UI API requests

Please consider the addition of the following features;

  • Add a FontSize attribute to text_block
  • Add an OnHovered event to button, or perhaps at the root level widget
  • Add an Opacity attribute to texture_block.
  • Allow receiving input from input_trigger_devices when a widget is added to a player_ui slot with ui_input_mode.All (consume input)

In an effort to write a custom inventory UI, these are the top desired features. Any and all improvements to the Verse UI API are greatly appreciated by all creators who are trying to create new and higher quality experiences; if it is an aspiration of UEFN to support game types beyond Fortnite BR it is critical the UI API receives improvements.

  • Please make controllers to be able to navigate to text_buttons that are not aligned to the current selection. Sometimes by disabling a button, it’s impossible to reach other important buttons using controller and the design needs to be changed just because of how controller selection works
  • Also, make Button Widget highlight on hover like text_buttons (spetially for controllers) (Or just add “On Hover” as suggested in the original post so the developers can highlight it manually

Changing button colors and opacity would also help a ton, In general we need more customization and features
