[SOLVED] Sketchfab upload doesn't see Business Account

Hey all,

I get an warning/error saying my model is too big for sketchfab when I try to directly upload from RC. Uploading the same model w/ textures is about 400 meg, so above that sketchfab PRO tier, which RC seems to recognize, but still well within the sketchfab Business tier limits.

Using the steam client.

Thanks!

Hello Castlenock,
we will have a look at this issue.

But I Have a few more questions:

  1. Did you see red warning (‘Recommended, the estimated size exceeds…’) in Upload Model window? (see attachment)
  2. Did you check ‘Simplify the model to fit Sketchfab limits’ checkbox? (see attachment)
  3. In the warning message you should see file size and account limit. Is it possible to tell me this numbers or take a screenshot of warning - this would be the best?

Thank you

Thanks for the quick reply!

Yes, though the warning did not go away when I upgraded from Pro (200 meg limit) to Business (500 meg limit).

I did for tests and it works, it just decimates the model in the wrong way, seems to simplify and re-texture the model with that 200 meg limit in mind, not the 500 meg.

I should be able to fire up an example late tonight my time and will give you a screenshot with some other relevant info. From my point, it RC seems to think I have a pro account and not a business account. Not a show-stopper - just importing an obj and text files and manually uploading to Sketchfab at the moment.

Thank you for your help. We were able to identify the source of this issue, so you don’t have to post any screenshots.
This problem should be hopefully fixed in the next release.

This still isn’t working for me, keeps on reducing to 50MB models when I have the business grade account - has this been addressed yet?

Hi Castlenock

Yes solved few months back already. Try reset RC settings ( press and hold SHIFT and run RC )

You sir, as always, are right. Thanks for the clarification - this will save me a lot of time!
