(Solved, reinstalled windows 11) Epic Games Installer won't install

EDIT: This is solved. I had to reinstall windows - it was somehow bugged. Thanks for the support and suggestions.

I used Unreal Engine on this computer before successfully. My computer had to be repaired for a hardware issue. It came back wiped. Reinstalling Unreal has been unsuccessful.

The installer gets stuck saying it’s going to update. It has a little error icon and that error leads to a 404 page. I have tried everything listed here: https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/epic-games-store-c5719341124379/launcher-support-c5719357217435/i-can-t-install-the-epic-games-launcher-a5720228477083

I’d appreciate any suggestions or feedback. My computer is fully updated, has a GeForceRTX 3070Ti. I need this solved by the 14th ideally. Main goal is to get unreal onto this computer…

Have you checked this page?
Hardware and Software Specifications for Unreal Engine | Unreal Engine 5.1 Documentation

Particularly these two sections:

Maybe it’s where you are installing the unreal engine, your HDD or SSD may be failing, but this is a very rare case so don’t go buying one immediately unless you made sure. there are many tools out there to check your hardware for issues.

Maybe your window’s is bugged, try these cmd line tools.

This is all I can think of right now, hope this helps

hi @indirawrs

there should have been some prerequisites that installed that you may have missed or clicked no or been blocked by Antivirus.

turn off all antivirus and windows defender. try reinstall , if it asks you to install some extras click yes!

remember turn you AV back on!
