How about backward compatibility?
I open project created in previous version and tryed to import OBJ (retopo version) to bake texture.
In previous version all works fine.
But in this version I see warning window and model droped some other place. Not in original.
Hi Yegor,
you are right please accept our apologize for that.
If you exported the obj file with “export info file” enabled then it should work. (I’m not sure why the default value for “export info file” is false. This is a bug.)
If not you have two options:
-
in the previous version, export the object again and make sure “export info file” is enabled. This info file encodes the coordinate system of the exported object. Be careful to NOT replace your updated “obj” file. Copy/rename exported rcinfo file to match the name of the updated obj file. Import the updated obj to the new version.
-
revert to the previous version and finish job there.
The previous version link is here - https://rcbuilds.capturingreality.com/20160327-667-B0E04C23-3C9D-4799-93A9-BD31CB0EFEBC.msi
You will need to manually uninstall RC and install it.
sorry for inconvenience happened!
Hi.
Thank you for response. I already tried few tricks yesterday.
Export new Obj with Info file and replace name of Info file to Old OBJ to import - do not work for me.
I found my solution - Reset ground state in scene Before import retopolized OBJ.
Its moves scene same place as imported obj(from old version).
So I solve it.
