SOLVED - Creating a transparent cg element in Composure

Hey guys.

I’m having a bit of trouble with Composure - maybe this is something dumb that everyone has seen before.

I’ve set up a front plate, media plate and back plate - the front plate is set to include a few actors on a layer, the back excludes it and the media plays a video. i’ve enabled the alpha channel support in project settings (linear only) and I’ve also setup a compositor material as mentioned in the composure tutorial https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-US/…art/index.html

If i hide the front plate, the video renders correctly over the back plate

But if the front plate is turned on, it hides both of the others

Does anyone have any ideas what i’m missing please?

It turns out that having Engine Scalability set to Medium breaks Composure, specifically the AntiAlias
