[solved] Create Texture extremely slow since latest update

Hi,

Since this week’s update the process to create textute is taking forever :frowning: Something that normally took less then 1 minute is now taking more then 20 minutes :frowning:

Are you guys aware of this major bug?

No we have not observed any slowdowns and they should be not there…

Can make screenshot of TXTR settings ? if its not something done there…

Can it have something to do that we use re-imported meshed with UV maps?

We have not changed any of the settings. using photoconsisentency based style.

I am right now creating a texture just of my head and it really seems to be stuck or is extremely slow. program is using 99% CPU, has been running for 5 minutes and estimated time is 6 minutes from now, but will be much longer.

This is just 119 images, with a very small region setting (just the head) this should normally take just 1 minute or less.

let me know if you want to teamview or something like that.

change it to VISIBILITY based style and try recon again…

I think there is a major memory leak :frowning:

As I noticed my system with 32GB ram is dying on me… I noticed RealityCapture is using up all of my memory, which for just my 119 5mp images should never be happening.

there is NO memory leak !!! :smiley:

The RAM is used for full capacity = data caching + data processing. So allocating almost whole RAM is normal.

I just re-did the process, used dynamesh instead of zremesher in zbrush. and all find fine. memory never came above 2GB used.

So it clearly has to do with the mesh i re-import that will make RC throw up. Will do some more testing to see why certain models make RC choke.
