[SOLVED] Bug 13493: 1d view shows different image to 2d view...

Some of my control points appear to have been corrupted…is there a way to fix this short of starting all over?

The image I have selected is GO159077.jpg…but the data shown is from GO159218.jpg

The error persists if I swap the screens with the dropdown;

For completeness I went and found GO159218.jpg as well…

The data appears identical - but it’s an entirely different image!

There are unfortunately many affected…in some cases my GoPro pics have data that says they are from my Pentax…and vice versa. A real mess. I’m going to try some fixes to see if it helps…deleting the point alone to start…I’ve tried moving it but it still has the “mismatch” between data and image - and of course huge error values!

I just confirmed it’s only the control points affected…the data from the “Images” list matches the image

More…both left hand windows are blue cursor, both right green cursor…

blue cursor is on image data from image list (correct), green data is on image data from control point list (very far from correct!)

I thought I’d fixed it.

  1. Exported control points
  2. Cleared cache and reimported control points back into simple list of images.

After alignment procedure…same issue.

Can someone explain why?

Hi Nigel,

have you re-named any images or changed the orientation of some?

If not, then it sounds like a bug, especially since you say it’s ok before you align.

Did you re-import into a fresh project file or the old one?

If the latter, starting a new one will probably fix it.

Didn’t start a new one, no.

hadnt rotated or renamed any images either.

today I found the source but not the reason…one image had all the control points showing residual lines to the centre of the image…no matter where I moved them. I deleted all of the points in the image and then marked it do not use. I think the details now match, but it will be interesting to see if they still match post alignment.

Hello Nigel,

thank you for reporting this issue. It is a bug on our side we need to fix.

Do I win anything? Lol…

Greetings Nigel.

Thank You for reporting this bug. It will be fixed in the next release.
