Solution for small fire/fog ?

I think it’s still not possible to reduce the small fire?

It’s not possible to use it in any kind of architecture site.. (indoors)

Or at least removing the smoke would be already much better..

The same for “ground fog” what I would like to use above a jacuzzi of 2x2 meter..

Anybody know a solution.. ? On photo’s we can photoshop.. but for video it’s not that easy..

Really hope there is some kind of solution !

Thanks in advance!

Hi ,

For the fog, I'd recommend checking this tips and tricks video and try using 'Lights' to create your fog over your jacuzzi. I used the omnidirectional light as the video suggests, most of them have the 'Haze' option, so you could try them out to see what is best for your project.

The 'small fire' can be reduced or enlarged. After selecting the object, go to 'Transform' and change the scale values.

On the pictures attached:

  • Right small fire = Original size
  • Middle small fire = X:20, Y:20, Z:20
  • Left small fire = X:300, Y:300, Z:300

Removing smoke is not possible since it is an animated object, I would recommend working with very low lighting around the fire, this will reduce the visible smoke as you can see in the night picture.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Francesco

"Although I thought the haze option is not working in Raytracing?"

Haze will not work with Path Tracer enabled, that is a current limitation.

Fog and haze are built differently, so yeah, there a re technical differences that allows one to work and not the other.

Francesco

Thanks again for answering.. The support here is great.

I will look into the options you mentioned..

Although I thought the haze option is not working in Raytracing?

Actually strange that if haze is not working the fog options do work in RT ? (There will be a technical reason i assume ..)
