SolidWorks "save as" Datasmith file not working

I’m working in SW 22 sp5. I downloaded the Datasmith plug in but when I try to “save as” a udatasmith file nothing saves. I’ve tried with multiple files large and small with the same result. SolidWorks says it’s processing but then stops and nothing is saved out.

Any ideas how to resolve? I don’t have Unreal Engine installed, just the Datasmith plug in, would that make a difference?

Just the datasmith plugin is enough.

Is there animation in your file? What happen if you try to export to times in a row?

If it is possible, can you share a couple of your failing models with us? In private message.
