What are some of your favorite software? What apps do you love using during your downtime?

Definitely Blender. It’s good for modelling and animation, it’s free, and practically everyone has used it.

Yup I agree, Blender is very useful especially for beginners.

I want to hear more about your experiences on blender. I have some mixed reviews about it.

I heard that Adobe software are really great too. I wonder what do you guys think about them.

To sum up Adobe in one word? Diabolico :rage: Same as Autodesk! Try and avoid them both! As they’ll happily take your firstborn as a sacrifice. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: General advice: Try to reduce / limit the amount of new software you have to learn, otherwise you risk spreading yourself thin on Unreal. Learn UE / Blender and stick with FOSS tools like Gimp. Same for Microsoft, use LibreOffice!

How Adobe Got Its Customers Hooked on Subscriptions
“As a business move for them, I get it. But you can’t get off. It’s like they’ve hooked everybody on digital heroin, and you’re gonna be on it for the rest of your life.”

One of my favorite programs now is Photoshop. I am currently studying its functionality, it gives me pleasure to improve images.

idk about Photoshop… I tried the trial and couldn’t find a single feature that GIMP lacked.

This is what I use for my Unreal Projects (completely free):

OS: Arch Linux
Code Editor: Vim
Vector Graphics: Inkscape
Raster Graphics: GIMP
3D Modeling/Animation: Blender
Audio Editor: Audacity

In my opinion, Photoshop is one of the most versatile programs out there. True, it is recommended to install add-ons on it - then everything will be super. If you need to work with vector graphics, it is better to install Corel Drow.
