Some of my thoughts from my brief testing.
Image rotation
image deletion
Thumbnail size slider eg mac finder
Thumbnail overlays like cross out for images that are set to False instead of the tiny icons.
multi select, hit spacebar to view all in larger preview. eg Mac Finder
basic file management like sorting, tagging, color coding. eg, head, face, foot etc
The above can be used to Hide, unhide photo selections. Like XNview.
Search tool
Basic photo manipulation eg. color correction, white balance
1D view. Drag component / CP image to panel
More detailed Verbose feedback in Command line viewer. User can chose the levels of detail. When RC looks like it’s hung, I have no way to tell other than looking at the percentage or the main pop up. Which doesn’t have fast feedback for large projects.
Visual analysis of images eg. alignment points per photos. We do see a numeric number of points but where are they located? It helps debugging tough images.
Click on photo, Highlight alignment points.
Snap off floating panels
User customizable panel layouts
Ortho 3D view
XYZ axis in 3d view
More lighting controls in 3D view. eg Zbrush
Basic shader controls, Specular, reflection map, zebra stripes. etc for visual inspection.
Viewer bookmarks
User notes.
interface font size adjustment
Interface color adjustment
Detailed mouse over tips. eg Zbrush
Image focus stacking in app so we do not have to use thirdparty. From my testing, locked off camera with focus stacking confuses RC. It would be great to mark image set as a stack.
Masking tools like Photoscan
User definable temp folders. RC makes multiple folders in the root where my photos are stored. I have multiple projects / tests using same photos. It’s getting messy.
