Soft vs Hard Reference materials (memory footprint / performance)

Greetings.

Is there a difference if my BP will Hard Reference 10 materials and will use only 1 (by select node) VS if it will be a Soft Reference?

Will the textures in that material loaded in memory once BP spawned? All of them? Only the one being used?

10 Hard Refs will load the 10 materials. 10 Soft Refs will load 10 directory paths to materials. After you have selected one you will have to load it with an Async Load Asset node
