If I reimport a static mesh that already has a socket on it, the socket will remain, but it will disappear from the socket window and can no longer be edited or removed.
The only way I could find to fix this was to delete the mesh altogether and import it again.
Hello Grimwolf -
I am attempting to reproduce what you are seeing and I have not had success in completely eliminating the ability to edit the socket. If I drag and drop the asset’s FBX and “import” and overwrite, the small red diamond representing the socket will disappear, but opening the Socket Manager will still see and be able to edit the socket; that was the closest I got to your post.
Can you very specifically elaborate the process you are going through to replicate the issue?
Thank You
Eric Ketchum
It must’ve been some kind of fluke. I tried re-creating the bug, but I can’t. It must’ve been something more obscure than simply reimporting that caused it.
