Socket Scaling

Hello,

When attaching a mesh to a character’s socket the mesh scales up 100 times in all axis.
I think I’ve seen I could just change the relative scale for the socket, or change the mesh size which is what I’ve done. But I’d just like to know why its happened.

I created all assets and characters in Blender and I exported them using a scale of 1 (metric), instead of 0.01 (when I tried to do 0.01 the models were too small by a scale of 100).
I thought it was strange the meshes were all the right size until parented to a socket.
