about my problem when i turn ingame that the screen goes black/green or blue, but only in certain directions and once under water all is fineā¦

This has to do with the main post process for your ocean, make sure its setup correctly and is located on your persistent level (main level) as it needs to be loaded the entire time, a workaround for this is to change the view mode from lit to unlit, you wont see shadows etc but the screen wont fade to black
it is, its ure template and i didnt altered anything on ure settings given by you.
could you explain it some more?

Zeerog1 you open ātheislandā and then you click windows top left and tick off āLevelsā then select all levels and load, this should load up the entire map

So i managed to load theisland and submaps to the devkit. How do i proceed now? I mean where and with wath name i save it? How do i use the template_V1? Thx
to use the template just copy the folder into your mods folder and open up template.umap.
If you plan on building onto this template id suggest renaming the folder and template file to āyour mod name hereā

So i managed to load the template and dont know how to proceed/use it further. Is there a tutorial how to work further from the template? Where do i find info on how to use it? What programs can i use to make a landscape ect? I am whole new to this kit and have no experience on how things work. Thanks
max picture size is 2mb
256 x 256 for the image if its stopping on the upload image
Have you tried as your testing your upload, deleting from your steam workshop all the tests so your fresh and then cook and upload fill in all the title description etc
What I do
Check your world settings enable world composition (loads all your orange leves)
Save all
Cook total conversion
0 errors 660 warnings
then upload
upload takes about 10 minutes steams slow and my map is about 256mb but its sometimes says its bigger like 1gig ? no idea
Then to check it log back into steam subscribe to the mod download what ever it gives you start ark now it will download the rest of the mod and put it in your directory.
Now you can select all the mod options eg total conversion bottom right and host a game if that works its pretty much well working

my image is 500x500 i think, but check your logs for any errors (warnings are fine) if that still doesnt work then try and upload it via steamcmd manually, there is a guide
My map is 11gb in source and 4gb uploaded, yet it says its roughly 90mb on steam since i passed 3gb, unsure as of why
, first I would like to thank you for this tutorial and the template. I got the template up and running(with a few errors related to terra nova resources, still there even after I dlāed it, not a big deal I think). My issue is, in the water under the landscape there appears to be areaās that are rivers in the water plane. How do I get rid of these? I am basically a complete noob here, had ue4 engine for quite some time(nearly a year I think), messed around with it a bit here and there. I have some simple coding experience with my biggest achievement being an ecth a sketch type program in Q-basic(I did modify the ecplipse 2d mmorpg engine to my liking, but thanks to a bad storm lost all my work, nothing short of the cloud could have saved me then, and the cloud wasnāt around then). I have used other engines such as torque 3d(and whatever it was called before that) Visual3d(a very good engine with a **** poor development team behind it, well atleast they were more focused on military contracts according to them), C4, and cryengine(or whatever they are calling it nowadays). In other engines the river tool is fairly simple to use and delete, however I am having issues finding it here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Now I must admit, I just love to make landscapes in these types of engineās by hand, honestly I have more fun doing this than actually playing games these days, but I gotta admit, this engine seems to be a bit more technical than I am used to, but for once I want my landscapes/maps to actually be played by people. And I have that chance here, so any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you in advance.
Also off topic(sorry), but I have to ask, was your terra nova map inspired by that awesome show terranova(canceled well before its time, just as firefly)?

if you open up the top material of the waterplane you should find a lightmap, thats what controls the flow and creates the rivers
Anyone got any idea why this randomness is happening to this particular part of my landscape? It happens rarely when Iām in the editor, but very frequently when Iām in game, always the same shape and in the same place! Sorry about the rainy pic!
hi, I am new to unreal engine, I want to download ARK, my question is, would it help me get started? I have seen videos but when I try to follow them, they seem out dated and the engine looks different. thanks
The ADK will not teach you everything with UE4, you can do nearly everything in the ADK but its very outdated being in 4.5.5 and UE4 is now in 4.11 or so, But the majority of the functions are still the same so my suggestion is to just start slowly and test more and more
This level streaming is a ********! Tryed it over and over again and only **** happens. Ruines my entire map on configuring it. Iām gonna stay on a single level.
