I mean in UEFN obviously we get access to all the fortnite assets which is nice. But its pretty restrictive, especially currently without full implementation of scene graph. Why would people continue to use UEFN if more advanced and unique stuff will be able to be built with unity? I feel like once the Unity games start coming out people will not want to play the maps made with UEFN because there is really only so much you can actually pull off and those using unity will be unrestricted in what they can create.
If Unity is working on UFN (Unity for Fortnite), then UFN will be subject to the same benefits and limitations of UEFN. If anything, UEFN is going to be and will remain ahead.
If it’s just Unity games on Creative. Then, I am pretty sure Unreal Engine games will make it to Creative before Unity games. At that point, Creative will just become a new, open marketplace. Moderating it will most likely not be on Epic anymore. Anybody can post whatever they want and will need to figure out how they make a business out of it. I don’t see a reason for distributing Fortnite’s income on something that has nothing to do with Fortnite. Epic are very likely continue to put their Fortnite games on that open marketplace just like anybody else. If Epic continues to financially support Fortnite creators, the creators will obviously need to continue to follow Epic’s guidelines (including the use of Creative and/or UEFN) and moderation.
