I was having trouble with an export and it seems that UE4 does not like MAYALT’s lattice tool. Can anyone confirm?
Convert it to polygons before exporting, you can’t use nurbs in games.
Lattice is a custom deformer in maya and is not recognized outside the package. You cant export it to unreal. Same with all nonlinear deformers, wrap, wire, shrinkwrap, cMuscle skindeformer, etc. etc. none of that will get through to ue4.
You can use them to model stuff in maya. But when you export to ue4, it will only take skinCluster and a FoC (front of chain) blendShape. And maybe a cluster too, but im not sure about that, just heard it somewhere.
