I have a bit of a niche request. I’m using Cesium to look at Google Earth 3D building data and I would love to be able to copy and paste blocks of buildings around the map. I’m wondering if there is some way to select a section of a city and then duplicate it and move it around.
Hey there @jaws_winner! Welcome to the community! This is a bit of a tough one, as if I remember correctly Cesium imports are all large piece. Usually for anything of that nature I’d almost always recommend doing the cutting/pasting around in a dedicated 3D art program like blender, as Unreal does have modeling tools, they aren’t nearly as robust as you’d want for a proper workflow.
I’m unfamiliar with Cesium’s types, but if you can turn the landscape into a static mesh (if it isn’t already) you could use Unreal’s modeling toolkit to split the buildings and make them their own meshes. Then you could place them around like any other SM. Video at 22 shows the example!
